Shorepower Building TSE Network in the Pacific Northwest
Shorepower Technologies (formerly Shorepower) recently opened 6 new TSE facilities in Oregon and Washington. See the news stories in the Portland Tribune and KATU-TV. Read more about the Shorepower TSE system.
The following facilities are currently operational or will be in the near future.
- Broadway Flying J in Ellensburg, WA (I-90 exit 109)
- Truck 'N Travel TA in Coburg, OR (I-5 exit 199) - close to Eugene
- Jubitz Travel Center in Portland, OR (I-5 exit 307)
- Gee Cee's Truck Stop in Toledo, WA (I-5 exit 57)
- Mollies Truck Stop in Klamath Falls, OR (US97)
- Seven Feathers Truck & Travel Center in Canyonville, OR (I-5 Exit 99) – Coming soon: Spring 2008.
These facilities are just the start of the Shorepower network. Additionally, there is a Shorepower partner site at the 49er Travel Plaza in Sacramento, California and the California Air Resources Board is considering expansion of Shorepower into Northern and Southern California. Shorepower has also received interest from States along the I-10 and I-95 Corridors, as well as other areas throughout the U.S. and Canada. See the map of the growing Shorepower network.
Funding for the NW projects was provided by the Climate Trust, Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE), New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Washington Department of Ecology with initial seed money provided by the US EPA to administer the program.
